Rules for Exhibitors
- Entrance fees. All classes 10p (children classes no charge).
Exhibitors paying £1 or over in entrance fees will be allowed free
admission to the show.
- All exhibits must be grown by the exhibitor except in classes 21-26 and
73-94.
- All exhibits to be staged between 08:00 and 11:00 on the morning of the
show EXHIBITS MUST NOT BE REMOVED BEFORE 17:00.
- In class 1 only one entry allowed per exhibitor.
- In classes 1-18 farmers, smallholders and nurserymen are not eligible.
- All exhibits must be cleaned and trimmed as necessary before delivery to
the place of exhibition. All vases, bowls etc., to be provided by the exhibitor
- The height of the vase must exceed the width. The width of the bowl must
exceed the height
- In classes 84-94 exhibits shall not be eligible for competition having
gained a previous award in the Association show
- Any person who attempts to gain prizes by unfair means will be required to
forfeit all his/her prizes
- Where there is only one entry for one class prize money may be withheld.
The final decision remains with the judges
- The judges decision relative to all exhibits will be absolutely final
- Exhibitors must leave the place of exhibition by 11:00 am on the show day.
Only appointed officials will be admitted until after the judges have finished
their task.
- All matters of dispute to be settled by the Executive Committee.
- All prize money to be paid within fourteen days of the show, or can be
obtained from the treasurer between 16:30 and 17:15 in the Entrance Hall on the
show day.
- Officials appointed by the Executive Committee to any position will be
fully authorised to carry out the committees instructions.
- Entries accompanied by the entry fee should be forwarded to the Show
Secretary at least 3 days before the show. Late entries will only be accepted
at the Show Secretarys discretion. Childrens entries must show the
age of the child.
- The correct naming of all varieties of produce exhibited would be greatly
appreciated.
- Prizes will be awarded on a basis of points for pence. One point awarded
for every 10p prize money won.
- The association will not be responsible for any person while in the hall or
while entering or leaving same, for personal injury, fatal or otherwise,
suffered by such person.
- No responsibility will be taken by the Association for damage to the
exhibits.
- Raffle prizes to be collected within one week of being allocated.
